Re-envisioning Extra-Curricular Education

By focusing on the engineering design cycle, our curriculum teaches students how to implement tested methods for developing solutions to everyday and industry problems in a hands-on, open-ended manner.

Braincubator's innovative curriculum brings leading technology to students' attention.

Explore Our Curriculum

We’ve divided our offerings into three broad categories.

TechCamps

Our TechCamps are a blend of in-class instruction and hands-on building. Students are introduced to the theory behind various forms of engineering, before implementing and developing their understanding through various projects.

TechCamps are delivered in various formats:

  • Summer TechCamps

  • March Break TechCamps

  • PA Day Boot Camps

  • After school Boot Camps

Private Tutorials

Intended to allow students to focus on a specific topic of their choosing, they work with an instructor either one-on-one, or as a small group.

We offer two formats.

TechTutorials are designed to develop whatever technical skills are necessary to complete a build project of the student’s design.

Alternatively, Academic Tutorials focus on either enrichment or remedial instruction for class based schoolwork.

Workshops and Presentations

Bring the Braincubator Team into your space with these one-off, on-demand offerings. Designed to complement the Ontario Math, Science, and Technology curriculum, our workshops are hands-on projects designed to be completed within a two hour time-frame. Our presentations introduce a more human side of technology by opening up discussions about how the best practices of engineers can be applied to our everyday lives.

Hear what some of our students have to say about their experience with Braincubator.

A Fresh Approach to Developing Critical Thinking

We're demonstrating to students both the mathematical and scientific principles required to understand today's technology, and then giving them the opportunity to create with that understanding.

The combination of a tangible understanding and perspective of how these technologies can be implemented in our daily lives is a key element of Braincubator’s philosophy.

We Develop our Curriculum in Several Ways

In-house Specialists

Braincubator's in-house specialists typically consist of university students working towards an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD degree across a number of disciplines. These specialists may also be acting as instructors for courses they have developed based on their studies, or are actively involved in developing and delivering courses created by Industry Specialists.

Industry Specialists

Braincubator works with members of our community with technical expertise to build courses across a variety of disciplines.

Our team of instructors adapt these courses into a classroom-ready format, providing students hands-on opportunities to work with various forms of technology in an open ended manner.

We Deliver our Curriculum in Several Ways

Working with Community Organisations

The primary mode which Braincubator delivers its curriculum is through other organisations in our community. By working with established businesses, community centres, schools, libraries, and other groups we offer our expertise to organizations who are interested in bringing our courses to their audience.

We’d love to speak with you directly about how we can make our services available to your organization. Let us know what we can do for you by completing by completing the linked inquiry form.
