Instructor

The primary role of the Instructor is to deliver Braincubator curriculum, as created by our Curriculum Developers. This role is responsible for providing STEM based instruction to various ages and skill levels.  Since our curriculum covers a variety of disciplines, our instructors typically specialize in one of these disciplines.

Curriculum Developer

The role of the Curriculum Developer is to create exciting, STEM based content for our workshops. Our workshops all focus on some area of specialization in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math. They are activity driven, offering students the opportunities to apply their new found knowledge in an open-ended manner which exemplifies their new-found knowledge. Workshop durations typically range for 2 to 30 hours.

Teaching Assistant

The primary role of the Teaching Assistant is to support the instructor in the classroom.  Our Teaching Assistants are often aspiring instructors, looking to develop their skills. This role is responsible for ensuring that the learning goals are met, and that any activities are run as smoothly as possible. This role works very closely with our instructors, and our students. Please note that successful applicants will be asked to submit an up-to-date security clearance letter.

Business Developer

The primary role of the Business Developer is to prospect for new clients by networking, social media, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. The Business Developer must familiarize themselves with the Braincubator product / service offerings, company goals, and existing networks. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company. Furthermore, they will maintain existing client relationships, and ensure that company commitments are being met.

Software Developer

The role of the Software Developer is to design, code, and maintain various web applications, from layout to function according to specifications. The Software Developer plays a key role in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of various software systems. This role provides the opportunity to work with a variety of different technologies that make up the Braincubator infrastructure. You will review existing software systems, present ideas for system improvements (including cost proposals), develop test cases for the entire stack and deploy tests to our continuous integration platform. Through this, you will begin to learn about the infrastructure and will be tasked with producing and maintaining documentation. Please note, this role is currently being offered as a full-time May to August 2018 internship, with the potential for longer term employment.

UI / UX Designer

The primary role of the Graphic Designer is develop creative ideas and concepts to market and represent Braincubator’s products and services. The role is expected to embrace the existing brand identity, and be able to produce meaningful content in the form of posters, banners, brochures, and online media such as websites or social media posts, among other formats.
